SOFT Certified Master Facilitator Jam Khalid facilitated a two day workshop on Collaborative Problem Solving for FFS Field Facilitators of Pakistan Tobacco Company (PTC), on Tobacco crop value chain in Sawabi on 22-23 May 2017. About 18 Field Facilitators/Officers participated along with NARC Director Mr. Roshan Zada (Facilitating FFS initiative of PTC in Sawabi and other regions in Pakistan.
An Inauguration ceremony was organized by Indus Development Federation (IDF) Khairpur on 11th May 2017 to declare WADO Training Hall after the name of Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad, Former Chairman PARC at Women Agricultural Development Organization (WADO) office Village Achar Solangi, Taluka Kotgiji, Khairpur. It was just a little gesture shown by IDF and other IPM based farmer organizations of Khairpur to commemorate the services of late Dr Iftikhar Ahmad in the field of agriculture and his contributions for farming families. The Chief Guest, Rais Ghulam Qasim Jiskani, progressive grower, Chairman of Abadgar Board Sindh & Former Provincial Minister Sindh declared the Training Hall at WADO Office named as “Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad Training Hall” at the commemoration ceremony. The program was started with recitation of Holy Quran. Miss Asmat Rajput, chairperson WADO in her welcome speech appreciated the efforts of Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad in agriculture and rural development.
Rasool Bux Khaskheli G.S sustainable agriculture organization (SAO) and Azhar Ali Veesar president SAO shared their views about the contributions of Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad in strenghthening farming communities. Achar Khaskheli President SAFWO Sukkur and M. Abbas Bhutto, SSO PARC also shared their views on this occasion. The Chief Guest, Raees Ghulam Qasim Jiskani commended the effort and felt honor in paying tribute to a great scientist and a well wisher of farming communities.
